We pride ourselves on recognising the need for sensitivity and careful judgement, prioritising the needs of the children involved in cases and providing support to parents.

Our family barristers act for parents, guardians and local authorities in cases across the full spectrum of children law.

We have a wealth of experience of advising and representing parties in difficult and complex (private) Children Act proceedings, involving issues of contact, residence, leave to remove from the jurisdiction and other applications. Our members have acted in cases involving allegations of domestic violence, implacable hostility to contact, enforcement issues and other risks to children.

We also offer advice and representation to both parents and guardians in public law proceedings.  We have experience of dealing with cases involving serious allegations of harm to children, including physical and sexual abuse and abduction. Our team also offers advice and representation in matters concerning adoption and surrogacy cases.
