Health and Safety & Trading Standards

Sarah is regularly instructed to defend both individuals and companies charged with regulatory offending.

She has defended in cases prosecuted by the Trading Standards and the Health and Safety Executive; including:

  • Conspiracy to defraud (sub-standard works);
  • Fraud involving trade descriptions;
  • Negligence causing death (including representation at inquest).

Sarah brings her 25 years of experience at the criminal bar to bear when examining both the evidence of witnesses and documentary evidence.

Sarah is keen to be involved in the case from an early stage, especially where may be anticipated or concurrent criminal and civil proceedings.

Approachable and level-headed, she is well-placed to defend companies and individuals facing allegations that can have extremely serious commercial consequences and she has extensive experience in dealing with cases that are very sensitive in nature.
