Practice Overview

Sarah is an immensely experienced criminal and regulatory barrister with 25 years of experience at the bar. She is regularly instructed as a leading junior.

She is known for her thorough and detailed preparation, forensically tactical approach to cases and fearless advocacy.

Sarah specialises in regulatory/professional disciplinary work and criminal defence work; however, she is also a Category 4 prosecutor and is instructed by the Complex Casework Unit; she is approved to prosecute rape and serious sexual offences.

The majority of Sarah’s criminal practice involves serious, complex and high-profile cases. She is instructed in all aspects of crime, but predominantly in fraud work.

Her regulatory practice includes representing members of the Police Federation facing criminal and disciplinary proceedings.

Sarah has also represented individuals and companies charged with various regulatory offences prosecuted by the Insolvency Service, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, Health and Safety Executive, Trading Standards and the Environment Agency.

Sarah is fully familiar with all aspects of military law, and has represented military personnel in both the Crown Court and Courts Martial.
