Benjamin Myers KC specializes in Business and Financial Crime, General Crime, Regulatory Law, Professional Discipline and Inquests and Inquiries. Described as ‘brilliant’, ‘extremely astute’ ‘a superb jury advocate and lawyer’ with ‘an exceptional ability to digest complex cases’, he appears in courts and tribunals across the country and is ranked at the top of his field in crime and financial crime in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and in the Legal 500.

Ben deals with regulatory matters in relation to business and financial services, health and safety, and medico-legal matters.  He provides advice and assistance with regard to internal investigations, in addition to advice and representation from the earliest stage of external investigations and proceedings, including those brought by the SFO, the CPS, the FCA, and Trading Standards.  He is experienced in leading large teams in substantial, complex and sensitive cases, many of which have a high public profile. His work includes judicial review, privacy and media-related applications.

He has provided advice and representation in relation to the Hillsborough tragedy and is currently providing advice in relation to the Grenfell Tower investigation, and Operation Magenta, an investigation into multiple deaths, and offences under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, at the Gosport War Memorial Hospital between 1987 and 2001.
