Exchange introduces new pupillage recruitment timetable
Exchange Chambers has moved to a new one-year-ahead timetable for its pupillage recruitment process.
The shorter lead time will enable Exchange to respond more effectively to changing practice demands, while giving pupils the best possible opportunity to build an outstanding career at the Bar and contribute to Chambers’ future success.
In other initiatives, Exchange has set its pupillage award at £45,000 and reaffirmed its commitment to offering up to six pupillages every year – underlining the set’s ongoing investment in nurturing the next generation of talent at the Bar.
With six pupils already accepted for 2026, Exchange’s next round of pupillage recruitment — for September 2027 — will open around November 2026, in line with the Pupillage Gateway timetable. As a result, Chambers will not be holding a competition this year.
