James has a busy Fast Track Personal Injury practice and regularly represents Claimants and Defendants at trial. James also accepts instructions for Small Claims matters, Stage 3 and disposal hearings, interim applications and infant approvals. James has a wealth of experience of cases involving road traffic accidents, employer’s liability, the Highway Act, fraud and Low Velocity Impacts, occupier’s liability, credit hire, and costs hearings.
James has an emerging multi-track practice and is happy to accept instructions in higher value matters.
James balances a thriving Criminal practice alongside his Civil work appearing in the Crown Court, Magistrates and Youth Courts. He has acted for both the Prosecution as a CPS Grade 1 Advocate and Defence in preliminary matters, sentencing hearings, and appeals against conviction and sentence. He has received instructions to appear in the Crown Court on matters involving violence, dishonesty, drugs and sexual offences.
He also has a developing interest in regulatory work having prosecuted for the DVSA and the Insolvency Service. He also has experience of RSPCA prosecutions.
James has experience of Employment matters and is happy to advise and receive instructions in Employment cases.
