Clinical Negligence

Alex has a developing clinical negligence practice. He advises, drafts pleadings and acts mainly for Claimants in a wide range of areas. He has experience of high value claims and complex causation arguments.

Some examples of recent work include:

1. Drafting pleadings, advising in conference with a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Consultant Plastic Surgeon and representing a Claimant who sustained injuries following subacromial decompression.
2. Advising and representing the deceased’s family in relation to coronial proceedings concerning a death in hospital following knee replacement surgery. Alex advised on quantum and the civil claim later settled for tens of thousands of pounds.
3. Advising in relation to a possible claim concerning a lady who died following admission to hospital.

Alex has experience in inquests and has acted for both families and interested persons.
