Harriet was called to the Bar in 2016. She became a tenant of Exchange Chambers in September 2018 following the successful completion of her pupillage. Harriet has developed a strong practice, with a focus on commercial and insolvency work.
Harriet’s practice encompasses both personal and corporate insolvency, contractual disputes, debt recovery, tort, housing and property.
Across those practice areas, Harriet regularly conducts procedural applications and trials in the County Court, appearing on behalf of both Claimants and Defendants. She has substantial experience of appearing in the winding-up lists and bankruptcies. Harriet also has experience of appearing in the applications list of the High Court. She offers a quick turn around on paper work and regularly drafts statements of case, applications and formal advice.
Harriet recently formed part of a team of Barristers who travelled to Brazil to assist in pleading claims for a class action which has been filed in the High Court in Liverpool by SPG Law on behalf of around 200,000 individuals, 25 municipal governments, 700 businesses, a Catholic archdiocese and members of the Krenak indigenous community.
A talented and versatile junior, Harriet adopts a proactive approach to work and is happy to provide informal advice as cases progress. Harriet welcomes contact by email or phone.
