Gareth maintains a high-profile commercial practice, acting as junior counsel in a number of large-scale group litigation actions. He has a particular focus on consumer protection issues, including those involving European law.
He is currently instructed in the Volkswagen NOx Emissions litigation, and has recently been instructed to advise on a similar action being brought against Mercedes. He is also instructed in several data breach group actions, including against Ticketmaster, as well as number of other household names.
Gareth enjoys working closely with instructing solicitors on the wide range of issues arising out of group litigation work, both tactical and procedural. He is able to provide guidance on the CPR PD 51U Disclosure Pilot Scheme.
In addition to group litigation, Gareth provides advice on contractual disputes. He has been retained as counsel for a major telecommunications company for over a decade and has conducted litigation on their behalf across the country.
