Caroline was called to the Bar in 2013. She is an experienced criminal practitioner who has been briefed to appear and advise, on behalf of the prosecution and defence, in a broad range of matters including:

Criminal Cases

R v KT York Magistrates’ Court (2019)
Prosecuting on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service, Caroline secured a conviction against a Defendant who faced a charge of controlling and coercive behaviour, he was sentenced to 3 years 9 months and ordered to pay £10,000 compensation.

R v PD Bradford Crown Court (2019)
Caroline secured an acquittal for a Defendant accused of sexual assault.

R v AW York Crown Court (2019)
Defending a man diagnosed with a mental disorder who had threatened police officers with bladed articles, Caroline succeeded in securing a suspended sentence.

R v CW York Youth Court (2019)
Caroline represented a 16 year old Defendant who had been charged with inciting a child into sexual activity.
