Amie has a busy commercial practice representing both claimant and defendant in contract, construction, and company disputes, as well as debt recovery. Amie’s clients include banks, public and private companies, insolvency practitioners and small businesses,

Amie regularly appears in the county and high court both remotely and in person in respect of claims on all tracks, including multi day trials. Amie is frequently instructed for interim applications including relief from sanction, summary judgment and case management hearings.

More recently, Amie successfully defended in a trial relating to the validity of a personal guarantee agreement with a value of approximately £220,000.

Amie is also developing a niche practice in equestrian law.

Examples of Amie’s recent equestrian work includes:

• Successfully representing the claimant purchaser in a two-day trial relating to the sale of a horse, concerning issues of breach of contract, misrepresentation, negligence, and agency.
• Drafting pleadings relating to sales and purchase disputes, breach of contract, livery disputes, and jurisdictional matters.
