Inquests

Sean is an experienced regulatory barrister, with a burgeoning inquests practice.

He acts on behalf of individuals, bereaved families, insurers, healthcare providers and corporate entities. He has experience of dealing with inquests involving deaths in hospital, police custody, prisons and the workplace.

Owing to his strong criminal practice, Sean has a wealth experience in dealing with serious and complex cases involving expert evidence from pathologists, scientists and accident investigators.

Sean is noted for his compassionate nature and ability to deal sensitively with those who require representation.

Inquests Cases

Inquest into the death of a man with severe mental and physical difficulties. He was being looked after by a private company with a care home setting. Represented one of the carers said to have contributed to the death of the deceased due to the manner in which food was served to him.

R v C – Death of professional individual – represented the family thereof. Case involved sensitive issues surrounding mental health.

R v D – Involving death in a residential care home – represented careworker. Issues involving care plans, training, ambulance treatment/response times.
