Anja was called to the Bar in 2014 after completing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh School of Law. She is now developing a practice in insolvency, commercial and chancery litigation.

Anja has experience in a range of personal insolvency matters, including appearing on bankruptcy petitions, applications to set aside statutory demands, applications to annul bankruptcy orders and applications by trustees in bankruptcy for orders for possession and sale.

Anja also has experience in a range of corporate insolvency matters including advising upon the appointment as liquidators of supervisors of a CVA, advising upon the validity of appointment of office-holders, and appearing on petitions to wind up companies in voluntary liquidation and on petitions which are disputed. Led by Mark Cawson QC, Anja has drafted elements of a defence to a multi-million pound claim for declaratory relief brought by a holder of security against a company in liquidation.

Anja has been appointed Junior Counsel to the Crown by the Attorney General (Regional Civil Panel C) for a five-year term commencing 1 March 2021.
