Trio of barristers appointed as Deputy District Judges

Exchange Chambers would like to congratulate Sheren Guirguis, Laura Gooding and Susanna Kitzing on their appointment as Deputy District Judges.

Sheren Guirguis, who was called to the Bar in 1996, will sit on the Northern Circuit along with Laura Gooding, who was called to the Bar in 2001. Susanna Kitzing, who was called to the Bar in 2005, will sit on the North Eastern Circuit.

The appointments will run on four-year renewable terms.

Sheren Guirguis is a highly experienced advocate who specialises in both publicly and privately funded family law work. She also acts for both claimant and defendants in personal injury claims.

Laura Gooding is an experienced personal injury and clinical negligence barrister who is predominantly instructed for Claimants who have suffered serious injuries.

Susanna Kitzing has a broad practice covering Local Government and Social Housing, Inquests, Healthcare (presenting for the General Medical Council), Public Law / Judicial Review and Personal Injury. In 2012 she was appointed to the Attorney General’s Regional Panel for civil work.
