Successful finding of no case to answer in case of child cruelty, coercive and controlling behaviour and strangulation for Eddison Flint
July 24, 2023
In a case defended by Eddison Flint from Exchange Chambers, a judge at Leeds Crown Court found last Thursday that there was no case to answer following the completion of the prosecution’s case in a matter of coercive and controlling behaviour, child cruelty and strangulation.
The case involved a complex domestic relationship spanning 18 months. Following Mr Flint’s cross examination, the judge found that due to significant inconsistencies in the complainants evidence, it was not safe to leave the case to the jury. The defendant was subsequently released from custody, not guilty of all charges.
Eddison was instructed by Arlegh Davies of ABR Solicitors.
