Charlotte is an accomplished advocate and a leading junior for the defence with a comprehensive and wide-ranging experience of serious and complex criminal cases. As a Level 4 prosecutor, the Special Divisions and Complex Crime Units of the Crown Prosecution Service also regularly instruct Charlotte as a leading junior in heavyweight cases.
She has extensive advisory and litigation experience in a wide-range of substantial fraud cases, large-scale international and national drug conspiracies and other areas of serious crime including money laundering, homicide, armed robbery and firearms offences, serious sexual offences and child cruelty. Instructions are also regularly received in complex POCA cases and Charlotte has a comprehensive knowledge of criminal restraint and asset protection.
Her skilled, tactical advice and first class advocacy lends itself to a wide range of regulatory and Court of Protection matters. She has a detailed working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Other specialist litigation experience includes cases demanding a detailed understanding of the Dental Services Contract Scheme, its associated regulations and accounting scheme and the Control of Trade in Endangered Species (Enforcement) Regulations.
