Louis Browne acts for Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority in £7m settlement

In a case before the First Tier Tribunal (FFT) last week Louis Browne acted for the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) in one of the largest awards ever made.  In this capacity, Louis acted as advisor to the FTT.

The case involved a young woman shaken as a baby who sustained very severe brain damage and blindness.  She required around the clock care.  The FTT award was £7,300,083 including awards for pain and suffering of £250,000, past gratuitous care of £475,000 and future care £4,864,861.
