Flagship Local Government and Social Housing Conference is a great success

November 27, 2018

Over 220 delegates gathered at Liverpool Town Hall on Friday 23rd November 2018 for Exchange Chambers’ Annual Local Government & Social Housing Conference.

The event, now in its 13th year, is a sector focused national conference for local authorities, private registered providers, their solicitors and insurers.

Delegates attended a range of seminars throughout the day and were able to network during informal discussions over lunch in the Ballroom at the Town Hall.

Fifteen speakers from Exchange Chambers covered a variety of topics including anti-social behaviour law, planning law, commercial law, property law, Court of Protection, criminal law, employment law, public law and personal injury. Many delegates were also taken on a tour of Liverpool’s historic sites by local historian Frank Carlyle.

Commenting on the success of the event, Paul Burns, Head of Local Government & Social Housing at Exchange Chambers, said:

“We are absolutely delighted with the continued success of our annual conference which has established itself as one of the key dates in the diary for the local government and social housing sectors.

A big thank you to all the delegates, speakers and organisers for their contribution to the success of the day. The feedback has been outstanding and we are already planning for next year’s event.”

Exchange Chambers’ Local Government & Social Housing department has an enviable history of leading the way in the provision of legal services to the local government and social housing sectors in England and Wales.
