Steven Crossley successfully represents Cleveland Police Constable charged with assault

May 18, 2017

Steven Crossley has successfully represented a Cleveland Police Constable charged with assault. PC S was accused of the Common Assault of a detained person in the course of arrest. Evidence had been provided by a fellow officer that the force used was excessive. Following a two day trial at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court, the District Judge acquitted PC S and observed that part of the Prosecution’s evidence against him was unreliable.

Steven was instructed by Dan Weed of Burton Copeland Solicitors.
