Ongoing – Advising and drafting skeleton arguments in a case where the Appellant suffered multiple injuries as a result of an accident which occurred when he was competing in a motorcycle race with the Army Endurance Team.
Ongoing – Advising in respect of a traumatic spinal injury and subsequent psychiatric injury sustained during a training exercise.
Butcher v Secretary of State (Veterans UK) – The Appellant suffered a traumatic back injury whilst training. Successfully appealing an award of £10,000 substituted for a more severe traumatic back injury tariff in addition to a percentage G. I. P. to compensate for long term loss of earnings capacity, pension and loss of promotion prospects. Total award in excess of £440,000.
Toms v Secretary of State (Veterans UK) – The Appellant suffered from severe P.T.S.D. Successfully appealing an award of £10,000 substituted for a maximum award for permanent mental disorder plus G.I.P. to compensate for long term loss of earning capacity, pension and loss of promotion prospects. Total award worth £1.3 million.
Holroyd v Secretary of State (Veterans UK) – The Appellant suffered a significant brain injury following a violent attack in barracks by a fellow soldier.
