Operation Kingman – Fiona Clancy and Harriet Lavin secure convictions in Class A Drugs and Firearms Conspiracy

Fiona Clancy leading Harriet Lavin, both from Exchange Chambers, successfully prosecuted one of the first encrochat trials in relation to offences of Conspiracy to Supply in excess of £2,000,000 worth of Class A Drugs (Cocaine and Heroin) and a Conspiracy to Transfer Prohibited Weapons, intended to be used in order to settle the disputes of an organised crime group.
The Conspiracies were based upon Encrochat evidence uncovered during Operation Venetic, alongside expert evidence.
Following a three week trial, the Defendant was convicted of all counts on the indictment.
Fiona Clancy and Harriet Lavin are instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service to prosecute Operation Kingman Part 2 in 2023.
