Police Officer represented by Nicholas Walker cleared of all charges in high profile hearing
November 23, 2021
Represented by Nicholas Walker from Exchange Chambers, a West Yorkshire police officer whose use of force when arresting someone was described as ‘indefensible’ has been cleared of all charges after a week-long gross misconduct hearing in Wakefield.
It was alleged that the officer had intended to choke the man and had lied about his actions afterwards in a written statement. He had faced multiple allegations of breaching the Standards of Professional Behaviour arising out of an incident last summer, footage of which was widely shared on social media afterwards.
Nicholas was instructed by Daniel Weed of Burton Copeland Solicitors.
