Nicholas Walker addresses Police Federation
December 3, 2018
Nicholas Walker from Exchange Chambers last week gave a presentation on outcomes in Police Misconduct cases to the National Conduct and Performance Leads Seminar for the Police Federation at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool.
During his talk, which was described as ‘insightful and useful’, Nicholas explored likely issues and arguments that arise when Legally Qualified Chairs are considering sanction in Police Misconduct hearings. His talk followed an analysis of vetting by Tim Cooligan from Slater and Gordon.
The Police Federation is the staff association for police constables, sergeants and inspectors (including chief inspectors). It is one of the largest staff associations in the UK representing over 119,000 rank and file officers.
Nicholas appears in police misconduct cases across the country and often combines it with defending officers in criminal proceedings. He also sits as a Legally Qualified Chair in misconduct hearings.
