Mark Rhind acts for doctor cleared of all allegations at Fitness to Practice Hearing

October 28, 2014

Mark Rhind from Exchange Chambers has acted for a doctor who was cleared of all allegations after a 12 day Fitness to Practice Hearing before the General Medical Council at the Medical Practitioner Tribunal Service in Manchester.

The doctor, a senior Registrar, had been accused of impairment by reason of misconduct relating to alleged behaviour by him towards a patient over several days in July 2010.

Having heard extensive evidence from witnesses and from medical and non-medical experts the panel found each of the 26 allegations not to have been proved and that there was consequently no evidence from which impairment could be found.
