Laura Gooding appointed as District Judge

We are delighted to announce that the King has appointed Laura Gooding from Exchange Chambers to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
Laura joined Exchange Chambers in 2001 and has over the years been an integral member of the Pupillage Committee and more recently a member of the Equality and Diversity Committee. She has consistently been recommended by the Legal 500 as a Leading Junior in the field of Personal Injury.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed Laura to the Midland Circuit, based at Stoke-on-Trent Combined Court with effect from Monday 16 January 2023.
Laura Gooding will be known as District Judge Gooding. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
