Over 250 delegates gathered at Liverpool Town Hall on Friday 25th November 2016 for Exchange Chambers’ Annual Local Government and Social Housing Conference. The event, now in its 11th year, is a sector-focused national conference for local authorities, private registered providers and their solicitors and insurers.
Delegates attended a range of seminars throughout the day and were able to exchange their own experiences with each other during informal discussions over lunch in the main ballroom at the Town Hall.
The 16 speakers at the event covered areas as diverse as ADR, anti-social behaviour, commercial law, costs, court of protection, crime, employment, housing, human rights, occupiers’ liability, personal injury, property, procurement and public law.
Exchange Chambers is independently recognised by the independent guide to the legal profession as a leading Chambers in the fields of local government law and social housing law (Chambers and Partners UK Bar Guide).
Commenting on the success of the event, Paul Burns, Head of the Local Government & Social Housing Department at Exchange Chambers, said:
“We were delighted to again welcome so many delegates to Liverpool.
“This seminar is now the largest of its kind in the UK and reflects the independently recognised expertise and popularity of our barristers across a number of areas of work. The feedback from delegates has been excellent and we are looking forward to building on this success during 2017.”
