Daniel Prowse from Exchange Chambers has secured an acquittal for his client in an international, multi-million pound money laundering trial at Manchester Crown Court.

Instructed by Cobleys Solicitors, Daniel’s client was found not guilty of transporting criminal property after a 7-week trial.

His client was arrested after £267,000 cash was found in the boot of his hire car as well as receipts which showed cash payments into multiple bank accounts of more than £26,000 around 2 weeks earlier. Undercover officers also photographed him the day before his arrest driving his hire car to and from an industrial unit at which it was shown that large amounts of criminal cash was being processed. All other defendants linked to the unit were convicted.

Daniel’s practice encompasses all aspects of serious crime and he is regularly instructed in cases of alleged serious violence, sexual offences, firearms, drugs and fraud.  He has particular experience and expertise in multi-handed, document heavy cases such as large-scale drug supply, conspiracy to commit violence and other offences (often involving firearms) and all types of money laundering and fraud.
