£925,000 settlement for Andrew Ward

November 23, 2017

Andrew Ward of Exchange Chambers has obtained a settlement of £925,000 on behalf of a claimant motorcyclist, ST, who sustained a right-sided C5 / C6 brachial plexus injury following a road traffic accident in June 2014.

The settlement was achieved at a Joint Settlement Meeting. The sum of £925,000 is gross of agreed 15% contributory negligence and CRU of £15,000. Significant issues in the case concerned the limited extent of ST’s residual earnings capacity and the cost of flail arm orthoses.

Andrew commented:

“This settlement marks a very good result in a medically complicated claim. It has been a privilege to assist ST, who is an inspirational man, and to work as part of a team with Fletchers Solicitors.”

Andrew was instructed by Ashley Nolan of Fletchers Solicitors.

This settlement means that Andrew Ward has achieved settlements on behalf of injured claimants during November 2017 in excess of £2.1 million.
