Will Waldron KC and Tony Goff secure £25.6 million lump sum settlement in negligence claim

Exchange Chambers’ Will Waldron KC, leading Tony Goff and instructed by Sally Richards of Gamlins Solicitors, has secured one of the largest lump sum settlements ever approved by the High Court in a negligence claim.

The settlement of £25.6 million was approved in a tragic case involving a claimant who was born prematurely and subsequently suffered profound and permanent physical and cognitive disabilities.

The award will ensure that the claimant has access to the specialist care, therapies, equipment, accommodation and support required throughout their lifetime. It reflects the extensive and complex future needs arising from the claimant’s injuries and provides long-term financial security for both the claimant and their family.
