Steven Crossley successfully represents North Wales Police Sergeant

Sgt C, a custody sergeant, was alleged to have used excessive force amounting to Gross Misconduct in applying a “full nelson” wrestling technique to a detained person, causing him to sustain a fractured clavicle. Following a 2 day Hearing, the Panel found that the Officer had neither used excessive force nor caused the detained person’s injury. The case attracted national press interest and is to feature in a BBC Radio 4 “File on 4” review of police misconduct hearings.

Steven was instructed by Chris Fallows of Slater and Gordon.

Steven is a leading member of Chambers’ Police Law and Professional Discipline Team.
