Rachel will look at What are those duties – a reminder. Good faith -is there a presumption that the knowledge of one director of the mortgagee is the same knowledge held by the buying company that shares said director.

Property disputes of all kinds are often capable of being resolved by mediation but reaching a settlement is not guaranteed and requires preparation and commitment to the process by all concerned: the parties and the mediator alike.

The LPA 1925 came into force on 1 January 1926 and so it has been the bedrock of the law of property in England and Wales for the last century. This talk will look at a number of sections of the Act that are still of key importance for property litigators today.

Penny and Paul will be examining the law and practice relating to leasehold encroachment through the recent Lands Tribunal case of Relins v Gill. Penny will examine the legal basis of the doctrine and Paul will discuss his recent case and consider the practical implications for applications to the Land Registry when seeking registration under the doctrine
