Richard Littler QC secures only acquittal in joint enterprise murder trial

Richard Littler QC from Exchange Chambers has secured the only acquittal in a joint enterprise murder trial.

Anthony Atha, 53, of West Bank Close in Keighley, was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter following the death of George Dore in Keighley in April this year.

The two other defendants in the case, Angela Thornton and Leslie Walker, were found guilty of Mr Dore’s murder.

Mr Dore, who was 49, passed away a short time after he was found with serious injuries in the early hours of 8 April this year.
