Exchange Chambers is home to a specialist team of barristers with particular expertise in Military Claims.

Chambers has a long history of specialising in military claims of all types and severity. That experience includes representation at the Checkpoint Blue 25 inquest and multiple litigated appeals and trials (e.g. ZZZ v MOD [ 2025] EWHC 65 (KB); Abbott v MOD [2023] EWHC 2839 (KB); Lillington v MOD [2015] EWCA Civ 775; Ifede v MOD [2015] EWHC 3835 (QB); and Birch v MOD [2013] EWCA Civ 676)).

Members of the team have been frequent speakers at the APIL military claims conference and at the APIL SIG meetings. Current instructions include catastrophic spinal injury (C5 tetraplegia), in-service clinical negligence and the full range of disease related injuries (NFCI, NIHL etc.).
