Susanna has experience of acting in both permission and substantive hearings in the High Court, having represented a number of central government departments. She has also advised a number of government bodies including the Office of the Schools Adjudicator and the Child Maintenance Group.
Susanna is skilled in utilising public law arguments on behalf of defendants in possession cases.

R (on the application of JB) v The Governor of HMP Full Sutton – Defendant’s refusal
to allow the Claimant to use a family tracking service found to be lawful and proportionate interference with Claimant’s Article 8 rights.
R (on the application of BC) v North Yorkshire County Council  EWHC 3335 (Admin) – represented the Secretary of State for Education who appeared as an interested party in judicial review proceedings seeking to challenge the interpretation
of legislation surrounding school admission arrangements.
R (on the application of KM) v The Governor of HMP Frankland – successfully defended prisoner’s claim alleging procedural impropriety and bias during prison adjudication procedure.
