Callum began pupillage in September 2025 under the supervision of Richard Brigden and Mark Kellet, and is now entering his second six, accepting instructions in criminal matters.
He has gained experience across a broad range of Crown Court work, including contested trials involving offences of varying seriousness. He has also spent considerable time assisting junior tenants, observing hearings in the Crown Court and contributing to case preparation.
Callum has experience drafting written advice and legal submissions on a range of issues, including:
- s.41 Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999,
- Bad Character evidence, and
- Disclosure requests.
Prior to pupillage, Callum read Law at the University of Cambridge before completing the Bar Practice Course, having been awarded a Lord Denning Scholarship by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
He welcomes instructions across the full spectrum of criminal law.
