Practice Overview

Alexandra was called to the Bar in 2017. She became a tenant of Exchange Chambers in October 2018 following the successful completion of her pupillage. Prior to that Alexandra worked for an arts research consultancy.

During her first six months, Alexandra experienced a wide range of criminal, common law and regulatory work. She also appeared pro bono in the Special Education Needs and Disability Tribunal.

During her second six months, she developed a busy criminal practice, acting for both prosecution and defence in a variety of matters including:

  • assault offences
  • drug offences
  • theft offences
  • fraud offences
  • motoring offences
  • confiscation and enforcement proceedings.

Alexandra has appeared in trials and interlocutory hearings in both the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court, and has acted as junior counsel in a multi-defendant importation and money-laundering trial.

She also has an interest in regulatory work having appeared for the DVLA and the Security Industry Authority in appeal matters. She would like to continue to develop her regulatory practice.
