Alexandra was called to the Bar in 2017. She became a tenant of Exchange Chambers in October 2018 following the successful completion of her pupillage, which encompassed criminal, regulatory and common law work. Since then Alexandra has developed a busy criminal practice, prosecuting and defending in equal measure. She appears in a broad spectrum of criminal cases including drugs, fraud and violence – recent instructions include the prosecution of a serious s.18 assault.
In addition to her work as sole counsel, Alexandra has acted as junior counsel for the defence in a multi-defendant importation and money-laundering trial, and junior counsel for the Crown in a high profile trial involving kidnap, blackmail, assault, and weapons offences. She also has experience in complex confiscation matters and has made successful technical legal arguments in such cases.
Alexandra has acted in private prosecutions concerning intellectual property crime and also has an interest in regulatory work having acted for the DVLA, the Security Industry Authority and the RSPCA in a variety of cases. She would like to continue to develop her regulatory practice.
Alexandra is building a solid reputation as an effective and engaging junior – she is particularly client focused and has a natural rapport with those she is instructed by and with those she represents.
