Barrister’s new novel out on 12 October 2021

Olly Jarvis from Exchange Chambers has penned his latest novel, The Genesis Inquiry, an international conspiracy thriller.

Described by publishers Hobeck as an epic and gripping thriller by the brilliant Olly Jarvis”, The Genesis Inquiry is due out on 12 October 2021 as a paperback and e-book.

In The Genesis Inquiry, brilliant but burnt-out barrister Ella Blake accepts an apparently simple brief: investigate the mysterious disappearance of an African American polymath from his rooms at Cambridge University. The Inquiry quickly becomes the greatest challenge of her life – solving the mystery of Genesis.

Olly’s previous novels have attracted rave reviews. His debut novel, Death by Dangerous, was longlisted for the CWA Debut Dagger, while he also penned the highly acclaimed Jack Kowalski series, Cut Throat-Defence and Unconvicted.

Olly Jarvis is a writer and criminal defence barrister, originally from London but now working in Manchester as a member of Exchange Chambers.

Drawing on his experiences, he writes both fiction and non-fiction with a particular understanding of the pressures and excitement of life in the courtroom.

Olly is the founder of the thecrimehub.com which features written and audio content from leading actors, crime writers and people connected to the criminal justice system.

He also wrote the highly acclaimed Radio 4 drama Judgement, and wrote and presented the BBC documentary Mum Knows Best.
