Nia Marshall Highly Commended at Women & Diversity in Law Awards 2026
April 29, 2026
Nia Marshall from Exchange Chambers was last night Highly Commended in the Diversity Champion of the Year – Barrister category at the Women & Diversity in Law Awards 2026.
Hosted by The Global Legal Post, the awards recognise outstanding women leaders and practitioners, as well as legal teams and organisations driving meaningful change across the legal profession.
Nia was also shortlisted in the Mentor of the Year category while International [Future] Barrister Mentorship – a three-stage programme founded by Nia to support international applicants seeking to pursue a career at the Bar in England and Wales – was shortlisted for Not-for-Profit Organisation or Representative Body of the Year.
The shortlist was selected from nearly 350 entries across 32 categories and included 82 law firms and chambers – from global giants to boutique practices – alongside 27 other businesses and more than a dozen not-for-profit organisations.
Nia Marshall said:
“Being Highly Commended is a real honour, but more importantly it highlights the importance of widening access to the Bar. It was incredibly inspiring to be among so many individuals and organisations committed to improving diversity and access within the profession. I am passionate about supporting aspiring barristers, particularly those from international backgrounds, and breaking down the barriers they face.”
