Multi agency homicide inquests for David Sandiford

The inquest into the killing of Bernadette Rosario recently concluded at Truro. Her son pleaded guilty to her manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and was sentenced to a hospital order. He had made several threats to kill his mother ahead of her death.

Earlier this year the inquest into the murder of Natasha Hill concluded at London Inner South. From a young age Natasha was a looked after child.  She was assessed as being at high risk. Within a week of turning 18 she moved in with her abuser.  The level of violence increased. Scott Clifford was convicted of Natasha’s murder and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2019.

David was instructed by the Probation Service. Both inquests found serious failings by state agencies.
