Marion Weir appointed as Fee-paid Judge of the First Tier Tribunal

The Senior President of Tribunals has appointed Marion Weir from Exchange Chambers as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.
The Immigration and Asylum Chamber is one of 7 Chambers of the First-tier Tribunal and is responsible for handling appeals against some decisions made by the Home Office relating to permission to stay in the UK, deportation from the UK and entry clearance to the UK. It also handles applications for immigration bail from people being held by the Home Office on immigration matters.
Marion will continue her full-time practice at Exchange Chambers alongside her judicial role.
