October 2, 2023

Lisa Linklater KC from Exchange Chambers has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the recently established Northern Business and Property Bar Association (NBPBA) following its inaugural meeting.

The NBPBA has been established for barristers on the Northern and North Eastern Circuits who practise in the Business & Property Courts following the decision to merge by members of the Northern Chancery Bar Association, the Northern Circuit Commercial Bar Association and the North Eastern Circuit Commercial Bar Association.

Commenting on her appointment, Lisa Linklater KC said:

“I am honoured and delighted to have been elected to this role. The NBPBA will promote and develop the work of the Business & Property Bar on the Northern and North Eastern Circuits and join with other specialist Bar associations to promote and address common interests and issues.

“I am very much looking forward to working with the other Officers, the committee, members and all others involved with the NBPBA.”

Lisa’s national practice focuses on high value, legally and factually complex shareholder and partnership disputes, corporate insolvency and commercial litigation in the Business and Property Courts of the High Court of Justice, as well as appellate advocacy in those fields of practice.

Lisa is recommended as a leading silk in Chancery, commercial dispute resolution and insolvency and restructuring by Chambers UK Bar 2023 and in company/insolvency by Legal 500 2023, following consistent recommendations as a leading junior in these fields.
