John Wyn Williams secures acquittal for Police Officer charged with assault and perverting the course of justice

John Wyn Williams from Exchange Chambers has secured an acquittal for a police officer charged with assault and  perverting the course of justice.

Following a five day trial at Caernarfon Crown Court PC James Burns was found Not Guilty of all charges. The Jury deliberated for 7 hours and acquitted him of all three assault charges and one count of Perverting the Course of Justice. The whole incident had been captured on a Body Camera worn by a colleague of the Officer.

The officer expressed his relief at the acquittal and expressed his dissatisfaction as to how long he had to wait for the investigation. For a full account please read the following links:
