James Kinsey represents Welsh Ambulance Services Trust in 7-day jury inquest

November 24, 2025

James Kinsey from Exchange Chambers has represented the Welsh Ambulance Services Trust (WAST) in a seven-day jury inquest.

Sadly, the deceased died of ventricular cardiac arrhythmia in an Amazon warehouse in Swansea. Amazon was represented by Prashant Popat KC.

The Coroner found there was insufficient evidence on a Galbraith Plus test to put to the jury to conclude whether WAST’s 999-call prioritisation and Amazon’s first aid care had probably caused or materially contributed to the death.

The jury concluded that the deceased died of natural causes and found that a delay in sending an ambulance was not a possible cause of death. There was no prevention of future death report issued.
