Exchange Chambers shortlisted for Northern Set of the Year
June 16, 2026
Exchange Chambers has been shortlisted for Northern Set of the Year at The Legal 500 Bar Awards 2026.
The awards are based on The Legal 500’s market-leading independent research, conducted by a team of in-house researchers with in-depth knowledge of their practice areas.
Exchange’s shortlisting follows on from the set securing a record 140 individual rankings in this year’s Legal 500. Members of Exchange were also ranked as leading silks or leading juniors across 32 practice areas nationally, demonstrating Chambers’ strength in depth across all areas of law.
Described as “unrivalled in the North” with “great strength in depth” and “exceptional” clerking, the shortlisting underlines Exchange’s reputation as a Northern Powerhouse.
“We are thrilled to be shortlisted for Northern Set of the Year by The Legal 500,” said Jonathan I’Anson, Chief Executive at Exchange Chambers.
“Over the last 12 months our members have been instructed in work of great quality and on many high-profile matters. We are delighted this has been recognised by the researchers. I would particularly like to thank our instructing solicitors for their support and confidence in Chambers.”
This year’s award shortlisting follows on from Exchange Chambers’ success at last year’s Legal 500 Bar Awards, with Pankaj Madan collecting the Personal Injury Junior of the Year accolade.
The winners of the Legal 500 Bar Awards will be announced on 22 September 2026.
