David Toal from Exchange Chambers has successfully defended a former vicar against historic sex allegations.

Graham Doyle, 69, strenuously denied allegations that he sexually abused a young teenage parishioner during his time as a vicar at St Oswald’s Church in Little Horton, Bradford between 1986 and 1991.

After a five-day trial at Bradford Crown Court, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on two counts of indecent assault.
