David Knifton appears on British Forces News

May 22, 2014

David Knifton from Exchange Chambers appeared on British Forces News last night after speaking at the APIL Military Claims Conference at the Churchill War Rooms in London.

David, who provided an update on Combat Immunity at the Conference, regularly advises on claims brought by injured servicemen against the Ministry of Defence.  He recently advised on liability in respect of injuries sustained by soldiers travelling in inadequately armoured Pinzgauer patrol vehicles struck by IEDs in Afghanistan and also acted in the high-profile Blue 25 inquest into the deaths of UK servicemen shot by a rogue Afghan policeman.

British Forces News is BFBS Television’s flagship programme – the Forces’ own ‘window on the world’, transmitted live every weeknight at 1830 CET on BFBS Extra.   The show is presented by Kate Gerbeau and runs for half-an-hour. It is a Forces news magazine – covering all the issues of warfare, defence policy and military strategy. It reports live from Afghanistan regularly, where it is the only broadcaster to have two journalists permanently based at Camp Bastion.
