Coronavirus: we continue to operate

April 6, 2020

We would like to reassure our solicitors and clients that we have contingency plans in place that enable us to continue to work and provide solicitors with what you need in all of the current circumstances. All of our staff including our telephonists, clerks and admin staff are now working with full functionality from home. Please just dial our usual numbers.

Please remember:-

  • We have telephone and video conferencing facilities in Chambers.
  • We can link to our solicitors, the courts and prisons via our video conferencing equipment.
  • Multi party telecons can easily be arranged for members attending from home.
  • In certain practice areas, where appropriate, court hearings can be held by telephone.

Please speak to our clerks about these options via the usual telephone numbers and email addresses.

Our barristers and staff continue to find innovative ways of working by utilising the various systems we have in place. By way of example, our video-link technology recently allowed two of our personal injury practitioners to conduct a JSM via video-link which resulted in the negotiation of a successful settlement (read more here).

Any urgent work must be sent to us via email or telephone, as mail or DX may not reach us in the usual time periods.

Exchange Chambers will continue to review the situation and will regularly update this post with any developments. We are confident in our ability to respond quickly to any changes and remain effectively operational as a business, whatever the circumstances.

As ever, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. All telephone numbers and email addresses remain the same.
