Chambers hosts Serious Crime & Fraud Forum in Leeds

Leading solicitors from a wide range of firms attended Exchange Chambers’ Serious Crime & Fraud Forum in Leeds today.
The forum included presentations from a range of silks and juniors at Exchange.
Exchange Chambers CEO Jonathan I’Anson and Chambers Directors Ian Spencer and Nick Buckley were also in attendance.
Following an introduction to the event by Nick Johnson KC, Andrew Haslam KC provided an update on recent developments in the substantive law of fraud, sentencing and confiscation.
Andrew’s talk was followed by a presentation from Hal Watson covering Deferred Prosecution Agreements, pre-charge engagement and negotiations. Angus MacDonald then discussed the main takeaways from the Independent Review of Disclosure and Fraud Offences published on 20 March 2025.
The forum concluded with a Q&A session followed by lunch and networking.
