Barristers get on their bikes for charity

July 11, 2016

A group of 18 barristers, family and friends from Exchange Chambers completed the Christie Manchester to Blackpool bike ride yesterday, raising over £5,000 for the charity.

The Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride is The Christie charity’s largest cycling event, attended by over 6,000 cyclists each year.  The route covers 60 miles from Manchester, along the scenic country lanes of Lancashire, and then finishes on the South Promenade in Blackpool.

Stephen Connolly, a Commercial Barrister at Exchange Chambers, said:

“To say we were a mixed ability group would be an understatement but we very much enjoyed the day.

“The money raised from The Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride helps to provide inspiration and hope to cancer patients and their families, as well as helping to carry out more research, give more people the very best treatment and care – and save even more lives.”
