Adam Brown joins Exchange Chambers

November 7, 2022

Exchange Chambers has welcomed Adam Brown as a new member.

Adam was originally called to the Bar before he qualified as a Solicitor in 2008.  He obtained his criminal higher rights of audience in 2012 and became a Director of Robert Lizar Solicitors in 2015.  As a Higher Court Advocate, Adam has a wealth of trial experience in dealing with serious criminal matters including murder, large scale drugs conspiracies, serious violent crime and serious sexual assaults.  He has represented a number of clients working in the public sector who have been subject to criminal investigations for a range of allegations arising out of each client’s respective employment. In particular, Adam has defended before the GMC. Moreover, he has corresponding experience in representing clients compelled to attend Inquest hearings before the Coroner’s Court as Interested Persons.

Commenting on his move to Exchange Chambers, Adam Brown said:

“I wanted to join Exchange Chambers due to its exceptional reputation. I am hoping to continue to develop my defence practice in serious Crown Court cases but I am also looking forward to prosecuting. I wanted to fulfil my ambition to practise at the independent Bar and I am delighted to have joined Exchange.”

Jonathan I’Anson, Chief Executive at Exchange Chambers said:

“We are delighted to welcome Adam to Exchange and wish him a long and successful career at the Bar.  His arrival adds further strength in depth to our criminal team.”
